This is my Letter to the World…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim Booth @ 5:15 pm

I’m starting a new blog here. I have been writing a blog called Pulling Out the Savoy Truffle for about 4 years, first at old Blogger, then at LiveJournal. That blog will go on. This one will focus more on writing and writing related items – sort of like Borders and B&N focus on books and book related items such as cd’s, dvd’s, coffee, decorative wrapping paper, cookies, posters, toys….

Extra credit if you’re the first who can tell me where the title for this entry comes from….

  1. This is a short piece by Emily Dickinson:

    This is my letter to the world,
    That never wrote to me,
    The simple news that Nature told,
    With tender majesty.

    Her message is committed
    To hands I cannot see;
    For love of her, sweet countrymen,
    Judge tenderly of me!

    Why is your last post? I found your comment on Rogues & Scholars

  2. I started this blog to discuss my writing – however, because I write for 3 other blogs and do ther stuff, too, this blog gets no attention. Check my personal blog Pulling Out the Savoy Truffle

    I wrote about fiction and music there. It’s very active and a good place to see my work and comment if you wish to discuss writing.

  3. Jim, I couldn’t agree with you more. These jack booted thugs have already been deployed in New Orleans after the hurricane and in California. We are one step away, no pun intended, from a police state. The federal prison system is in place, there is rumor internment camps have been built also. All it will take is another false flag operation. Call Facism what it really is–a merger of corporations and the state–Benito Mussolini. When is the American public going to wake up from their stupor?

  4. I’ve sent my first salvo into the universe. “Me and James Baldwin: Down on the Cross.” Click on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmxfzHXpYpg, listen. After listening, let me know when and where the message can be of service.

    I know you are a busy, so take your time. But listen, please. You will find value in the message.
